The ancient-king remedy that fights arthritis and asthma

2nd June, 2006

I have to share this great online exercise I found...

Ready?

Okay let's go.

New exercise routine if you're over 40.

You might want to take it easy at first, then do it fasteras you become more proficient. It may be too strenuous for some.

And remember, always consult your doctor before starting any exercise program!

Right, here goes:

SCROLL DOWN...

NOW SCROLL UP.

That's enough for the first day. Great job.

Have a glass of wine.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I've had this little gem sitting in my inbox for some time now, but just kept forgetting to pass it on to you (or maybe I've forgotten that I've ALREADY passed it on to you!).

No matter, if it raised a chuckle, then job done.

To be honest, after the rants I've shared with you I thought it was time I took a deep breath, forgot about narrowminded doctors and corrupt drugs companies and sleazy politicians and...

Oh dear I've started again.

Right, before I burst something I shouldn't, let's move onto something that could actually help you:

Suffer from arthritis or asthma? This 'ancient king'
remedy could help...

---------------------------------------------------------
Those three kings who visited baby Jesus certainly knew a thing or two about health...
----------------------------------------------------

Well, one of them did anyway...

Indian Frankincense (or Boswellia) comes from the serreta tree found in India, Northern Africa and the Middle East.

The tree produces a gummy resin that local medical practitioners use to treat joint pain and inflammation...
but as per usual it's taking the West a couple of thousand years to catch up!

Now, men in white coats have conducted dozens of tests to confirm what the Indian healers knew all along that boswellia is a potent antiinflammatory that treats joint stiffness, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout and lower back pain.

In a clinical trial, thirty patients with osteoarthritis of knee were split into two groups, one of which took active Boswellia serrata extract while the others were given a placebo.

Over the course of eight weeks, the patients taking Boswellia reported a decrease in knee pain, increased flexibility in the knee and an increase in the distance they were able to walk.

And it's not just joint pain that's being eased.

In another test, bronchial asthma was reduced in 70% of 40 patients treated with this gum resin at 300 mg thrice daily for 6 weeks in a doubleblind trial

And of course, this being a natural remedy, there are no nasty sideeffects.

So it looks like a winner. But of course, as with any remedy, check it through with your doctor first.

LADIES! Show this to the men in your life, then put your feet up
--------------------------------------------------------

I'm loathe to dig this fact up, because my killer excuse for dodging housework seems to have gone down the drain.

And men I apologise in advance for all the aggro this could cause you...

But research seems to show that women are at least twice as likely as men to suffer from certain aches, such as lower back pain and carpal tunnel syndrome.

In fact, a study from Ohio State University found that women were up to 11 times more likely to suffer one of these disorders than men.

So ladies take a break, put your feet up, and tackle that back pain with these 6 remedies:

Get some rest but not too much. Studies show that
more than four days resting up in bed can weaken
muscles and actually slow down your recovery. So
make sure you incorporate some gentle exercise into
your day,
- Freeze the ache away. Ice is an excellent anti-
inflammatory. Try wrapping some frozen peas in a
towel and resting it on affected area. Do this for
15 minutes, twice a day. (NB - applying heat to the
area will ease pain, but is not nearly as good as
reducing the inflammation as a cold press)

- Target your knees to help your back. Applying pressure
with your fingers to the backs of your knees is believed
to release blockages in your back, allowing pain to ebb
away.

- Drink a glass of fresh grape juice a day. The juice
should be at room temperature, and should be drunk
between meals.

- Chamomile also helps relax the body, so that muscles
unknot and pain can slip away. Try a cup of chamomile
tea, or use massage the back with a blend of chamomile
and neutral oil.

- Try the BEST pain relief device I've ever come across...

I've got one of these, and it worked for me. And I've
received dozens of letters from people who've had
similar results. It's called 'MicroDoctor', and if you've
never tried it, you should!

Whether you suffer from arthritis pain, back ache,
neck ache, muscle sprains or carpal tunnel syndrome -
it can really relieve your pain;

Finally, something more serious entirely...

-------------------------------------------
MEN! This will almost certainly affect you at some point in your life (and it could be dangerous)
-------------------------------------------

I don't want to go into too many details (especially as this story involves me wearing a hospital smock!), but last week I discovered my prostate is slightly abnormal.

Don't worry - there's nothing wrong. It's just that my body is showing higher levels of chemicals associated with the prostate, and it's something I need to keep an eye on.

Now, I know that any man over forty is likely to be affected by prostate problems at some stage. I've even written about it in the pages and told you the very same thing.

But I guess you never really believe it's going to affect you, do you? So I have to admit, the news came as a real shock - even though there's nothing scary going on.

Still - it just goes to show - EVERY man over the age of forty is vulnerable to prostate problems. In fact, a shocking one in eight of us will develop prostate cancer at some point.

I don't know about you, but that's a real worry to me.

Which is why I think this book is so invaluable...

'How to Fight Prostate Cancer & Win' is, in my opinion, a must for every man over forty.

This book shows you how to reduce your chances of developing prostate cancer and other prostate problems, just by using some simple, common-sense steps.

This may well be the most important book you read this year.

That's it for today. Take care of yourself, take it easy, and I'll be back again soon.

Yours, as ever,
